Vicki Adams

Math/Financial Foundations

Vicki earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Math and Statistics from Southeast Missouri University. She has 13 years experience in education working with students of all abilities. Currently, she teaches Math Lab, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Personal Finance and Economics. She is a veteran of the US Army and enjoys spending time with her husband and 5 kids while working on her farm in her spare time.

Jessica Jones

Jessica is the Daycare Director at Kid’s Excel. She has  worked with children for 20 years and just recently earned a master’s degree from Hannibal LaGrange University. In her spare time, she loves to travel and explore new places with her family.

PB_Jeri-McConnell

Jeri McConnell

Jeri works as a Life Coach at the Poplar Bluff Excel Center. She is from Eminence Missouri but has lived in Poplar Bluff since 2001. Jeri graduated from Three Rivers College with an Associate of Arts degree and went on to get her bachelor's degree in psychology from Central Methodist College. She is currently a Certified Master Life Coach.  Jeri worked in mental health for 6 years before joining the Excel team in 2018.  Jeri has one son named Ayden, and is a member of Westside Church of God and stays active in the community by helping with various fundraisers.  Jeri loves playing sports, helping people reach their goals, music, singing and spending time with her son, family and friends.

Patty McCoy

Patti McCoy

Science Teacher

Patti McCoy retired from teaching in 2016 to begin a successful career in banking, which lasted until 2022 when she returned to her best destiny, teaching. Patti loves to travel and uses her travel experiences to enrich her classroom lessons. Past and future adventures include viewing the northern lights, hiking Mt. Vesuvius, a cooking class in Sicily, dog sledding in Montana, and a Kenyan safari.

Tiffany Mosbey

Tiffany has worked as a Life Coach at Poplar Bluff Excel Center since 2018. She previously worked at a law firm for 4 years. She has been a single mom until she met her wonderful husband who supported her while she earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and a Masters in Business Management. She has 2 sons, 1 daughter, and 2 step-sons and is very proud of all 5 of them. At 40 she participated in the Tough Mudder. She enjoys hanging out with her husband, looking at flea markets, fishing, and enjoying the beach. She also teaches Spin class and Circuit Training at her local gym.

Donna Page

Donna earned a Bachelor of Science in Middle School Education with minors in math and English from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She is certified to teach middle school math and English and high school English. She teaches a variety of subjects at the Excel Center including English, fine arts, and social studies. Donna came into the educational field later in life. She started college at age 50 after homeschooling her children and sending them off to college. After graduation, she taught public school math for a couple of years before accepting a position at the Excel Center in Poplar Bluff in 2018. She lives on a homestead in southeast Missouri with her husband of over 40 years, her son and daughter-in-law, her three grandchildren, and her many pets and small farm animals. Donna’s daughter lives with her husband and three grandpets in the Seattle, WA area.

Amanda Robbins

Amanda earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Arts in English Studies at Southeast Missouri State University. For five years she taught English for grades 9-12 at Leopold High School. She has been with the Excel Center since 2018 teaching English, social studies, and dual credit courses. She has also been an officer and active member of the Southeast Missouri English Teachers Association since 2014 and has led various panels and roundtables on techniques of teaching English. She reads fiction submissions at The Big Muddy journal and is a guest editor at The Cape Rock journal. She also writes her own fiction and poetry and has 18 publications in various journals.

Nancy Sliger

Nancy has been with The Excel Center since 2018 as a classroom teacher.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in chemistry from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. She is a retired Missouri public school teacher who also served as a curriculum director and map testing coordinator for 10 years prior to retirement. Nancy loves helping the students at the Poplar Bluff Excel School grow academically and achieve their personal goals.

Kim Thacker

Daycare Director

Kim Thacker taught Headstart for three years before becoming Daycare Director for the Poplar Bluff Goodwill Excel Center. Prior to her career working with children, she worked for 12 years as a nurse. She has a Bachelors in Educational Studies and an Associates in Elementary Education.
