About Excel Center
The Excel Center
The Excel Center® is an accredited, tuition-free high school operated by MERS Goodwill of Missouri.
The Excel Center offers you an actual diploma, not a GED or other equivalent as well as earning college credit or other industry certifications while you are getting your diploma.
The Excel Center is open year-round and operates with five terms per year each lasting 8 – 9 weeks. We have both day and evening classes which makes it easy to fit almost any schedule. Our caring life coaches provide personal attention to each student and will work together with you to find solutions for whatever challenges you may have along the way!
Our registrar will help you to access your high school transcripts so that you will only need to take classes that you need to earn your high school diploma. We offer classes in language arts, math, science and social studies which are taught by certified and caring teachers who will help you achieve your goals. The Excel Center also provides support to students with tutoring to improve reading and math skills. Click here to view our 2021-2022 academic calendar.
Free childcare is also provided in a safe and nurturing environment. Transportation assistance may also be provided.
Our Vision
Thousands of individuals drop out of high school each year, impacting their career potential as employers seek workers with higher skills and specialization. As part of our commitment to enhance career potential and access to high-growth jobs for high school dropouts, The Excel Center provides effective ways to provide adult high school students accelerated learning, opportunities for post-secondary education, and individualized career planning.
