Melissa Blank

Adjunct Teacher

Melissa Blank earned her BS in Education, specializing in secondary Social Studies, Speech and Drama from Missouri State University. She received her MS in Education with a focus in American Studies from Lindenwood University. For the past nineteen years, Melissa has worked in museum education and historic site interpretation for Missouri State Parks and Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. She has also worked on theatrical productions, including Spamalot and 1776.  “I am excited to be joining the Excel Center and share my love of learning with the students!”

Lisa Dlabick

Dr. Lisa Dlabick

English Language Arts and Theater Instructor

Dr. Lisa Dlabick served as a middle and then high school English, speech and theatre teacher, as well as four years as a Communication Skills department chair for 22 of her 32 years in the Hazelwood School District. She spent her last ten years serving as an instructional coach. Dr. Lisa came to the STL Excel Center after retiring from Hazelwood in 2019 and is so privileged to be working with all of the amazing adults in the pursuit of their high school and future goals. Dr. Lisa currently teaches various writing and literature courses, communication arts, and theatre classes at the Excel Center!

Social Studies Instructor

Kristen earned a BA in Secondary Education and History from Drury University and her MA in Social Science Education from Webster University. She began her teaching career in 2011 and has taught middle school, high school, and adult education. She absolutely loves adult education and feels like the Excel Center is exactly where she is supposed to be! It feels like home!

Brad Marquardt

Brad earned his BA in Mass Communication from Lindenwood University. After two years working in video production, he returned to Lindenwood to complete his MA in Teaching with certifications in Elementary and Special Education. Brad taught for Special School District before becoming a Prevention Educator at PreventEd, where he worked with students from kindergarten through high school. “I believe that it is never too late to make changes in one’s life and I could not be more excited to have the opportunity to work with adults who want to further their own knowledge and skill set. It’s an honor to be of service to my community.”

Ramona Nnakwe

Dr. Ramona Nnakwe

Ramona has been with the Excel Center since the doors opened. She has 15 years of experience in education. Her degrees include Secondary Engish Education (BA), Curriculum and Instruction (MA), Educational Specialist (S.Ed.), and Educational Leadership (D.Ed.). "Being an educator is not only my passion but, more importantly, it is one of the purposes God has for my life. I am honored I get the opportunity to help my students reach their fullest potential."

Natalie Soucy

Natalie is a Life Coach at The Excel Center-Florissant. Her degrees include a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Maryville University and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Lindenwood University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has over 10 years working in the social services field. “I want to empower students to reach their life’s potential while helping them break through barriers.”

KristinWilliams

Kristin Williams

Kristin is a Life Coach at the Florissant Excel Center.  As a lifelong learner herself, she loves to work with adult learners to further their education and work through barriers to achieve success. She earned her BS in Psychology and Human Resources from Webster University, her MBA from Webster University and most recently her Masters of Science in Industrial Organizational Psychology.  Kristin is also a certified Life and Health Coach. Her professional experience includes life coaching, health coaching, and career development through the lens of human resource management. Kristin’s favorite quote is “Never compare your journey with someone else’s, your journey is your journey, not a competition.”
