Academics at the Excel Center

The Excel Center® is an accredited, tuition-free high school operated by MERS Goodwill.

The Excel Center addresses needs outside the classroom, offers free transportation assistance, and gives students the ability to balance school and work schedules. The Excel Center allows students to learn at their own pace and complete their educational requirements throughout the year.

Excel Center students develop supportive relationships with staff and classmates to encourage progress and academic engagement. Students often work in teams that meet weekly to offer support, talk about the challenges of balancing school and life circumstances, and celebrate achievements and milestones.

Our registrar will help you to access your high school transcripts so that you will only need to take classes that you need to earn your high school diploma. We offer classes in language arts, math, science and social studies, and provide support to students with tutoring to improve reading and math skills.
